Stress analysis

Stress analysis is a computation method of applying loadings to a structure and determining the resulting response. Static and/or dynamic loading can be from mechanical, thermal, electro-magnetic, or pressure sources.

Stress analysis results are confirmed by strain gage testing, and is the basis of fatigue evaluations and failure investigations.
