Why not have an engineering consultant on call? Set up an account with STC for online consultation, independent data review, measurement and instrumentation questions, expert opinions, noise and vibration training, and assistance with failure investigations.

STC can satisfy your company's temporary project needs with a variety of online services. You will work one-on-one with senior engineering consultants who have more than 25 years of real-life vibration experience while saving both time and money.

For example:

  • If you run into measurement and instrumentation problems, we can walk you through test setups and help identify the most effective method for acquiring meaningful data.
  • Our consultants can design a test procedure and write a specification tailored to your needs.
  • We can also assist with data interpretation and offer recommendations for resolution of your problem. Maybe you need an independent design review or are just looking for the security of having an outside expert opinion in regard to the cause of a failure.
  • If a project involves litigation, an account can be setup so that we work directly for your legal counsel. As such, our work becomes privileged information as an attorney work product.

Setting up an account:

STC provides many options when it comes to setting up account to satisfy your company's needs. However, the most flexible method is to simply issue a blanket purchase order in anticipation of your total service needs for the next three, six, or 12 month period.

Consider budgeting one hour a week for outside consultation over the duration of your project. To avoid being caught short, budget more hours - you will only be billed for time used. If you find yourself frequently taking advantage of STC's services, consider switching to on-going consultation and budget for the fiscal year.

With an online account, you will be able to contact STC by e-mail, telephone, and fax whenever and as often as needed. Each contact will be documented by a summary e-mail. You will be billed at the end of each month for actual services rendered in 0.1 hour increments.
